Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Sahab LLC, an Indiana limited liability company ("Chefless", "we", "our"), governing your use of the Chefless mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Chefless. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your account
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity under your account. Keep your sign-in credentials secure and let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Your content
Recipes, photos, posts, ratings, comments, and anything else you create or upload to Chefless ("Your Content") belong to you. By submitting Your Content to the Service, you grant Chefless a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the Service — including showing it to people you've chosen to share it with and to people who follow you under your privacy settings.
You confirm that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it doesn't violate any law or anyone else's rights.
Forks and attribution
Chefless lets users "fork" recipes — make their own copy with their own changes. When someone forks one of your recipes, the fork is theirs, but your name and signature image remain attached to it as attribution. The same is true in reverse: if you fork someone else's recipe, the original author is credited.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Chefless to:
- post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence or self-harm;
- post content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- spam, scrape, or send unsolicited messages to other users;
- attempt to break, reverse-engineer, probe, or interfere with the Service or its security;
- use the Service to collect personal information about other users without their consent.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Recipe owners can also remove cooked-it posts about their own recipes.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Chefless offers a free tier and a paid tier called Chefless Pro. Chefless Pro is sold as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store and managed by RevenueCat. Pricing, free trials (if any), and renewal terms are shown to you at the point of purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date in your Apple account settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their refund policy. We don't process refunds directly.
- If your subscription ends, your account remains active on the free tier and your existing content remains yours, subject to the free-tier limits.
6. AI Recipe Helper
Chefless Pro includes an AI Recipe Helper powered by a third-party model (Anthropic Claude). Output is generated by AI and may be inaccurate or incomplete. It is not professional culinary, nutritional, allergy, medical, or food-safety advice. Always use your own judgment, especially regarding allergens, raw ingredients, cooking temperatures, and dietary restrictions. Daily usage limits apply.
7. Our intellectual property
The Chefless name, logo, app, website, designs, and software are owned by Sahab LLC and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don't grant you any right to use Chefless trademarks or branding except as needed to use the Service.
8. Termination
You can stop using Chefless and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. On account deletion, content you've created will be removed in line with our Privacy Policy; attribution metadata on forks of your recipes may be retained.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content (including AI output, user recipes, or nutritional information) is accurate, safe, or suitable for you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sahab LLC and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) US $50.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Sahab LLC against claims arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. If you keep using Chefless after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that isn't required to be arbitrated under applicable law will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Indiana, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Apple-specific terms
If you obtained Chefless from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply. They are required by Apple for apps that include an end-user license agreement, and they apply on top of the rest of these Terms.
Acknowledgement
These Terms are concluded between you and Sahab LLC only, and not with Apple Inc. or its subsidiaries. Sahab LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for Chefless and its content.
Scope of license
Sahab LLC grants you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use Chefless on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms (including any Family Sharing or volume-purchase permissions). This license does not allow you to use Chefless on any device that you do not own or control, and you may not distribute or make Chefless available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time.
Maintenance and support
Sahab LLC is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for Chefless, as required by applicable law. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services for Chefless.
Warranty
Sahab LLC is solely responsible for any product warranties for Chefless, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If Chefless fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for Chefless to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Chefless, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to any warranty will be Sahab LLC's sole responsibility.
Product claims
Sahab LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Chefless or your possession or use of it, including: (a) product liability claims; (b) any claim that Chefless fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation, including in connection with the use of HealthKit, HomeKit, or similar Apple frameworks (where applicable).
Intellectual property rights
In the event of any third-party claim that Chefless or your possession and use of Chefless infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Sahab LLC, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
Legal compliance
You represent and warrant that: (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Chefless is provided by Sahab LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Indiana, United States. For questions, complaints, or claims relating to Chefless, contact us at admin@chefless.org.
Third-party terms
You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using Chefless (for example, your wireless data service agreement and the terms of any third-party services we integrate with).
Third-party beneficiary
You acknowledge and agree that Apple Inc. and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.
