About Chefless
Chefless is a social recipe and meal planning app for iPhone and Android, made by Sahab Solutions in Fishers, Indiana. Omar Abdelalim is the founder of Chefless.
What is Chefless?
Chefless is a social recipe and meal planning app for iPhone and Android. You keep your recipes in one place, plan meals on a calendar you can share with the people you cook for, and turn the plan into one shopping list. It works in English, Arabic, Spanish and Turkish, and it shows no ads.
Cooks can follow each other, browse recipes and share what they make, or keep everything private. See how meal planning works, how recipe import works and how Kitchens work.
Who makes Chefless?
Chefless is made by Sahab Solutions, a small software studio in Fishers, Indiana. The company's legal name is SAHAB LLC. Omar Abdelalim is the founder of Chefless and the owner of Sahab Solutions, and he signs the guides on this site.
Sahab means clouds in Arabic. Besides building software for businesses, Sahab Solutions makes apps of its own, and Chefless is one of them. You can read more at sahab-solutions.com. Read the Chefless guides to see Omar's writing.
What is Chefless for?
Chefless is for people who cook for others and want less of the weekly scramble: couples, families, housemates and friends who plan meals together, and anyone whose recipes are scattered across screenshots, bookmarks and cookbook pages. It keeps the plan, the recipes and the shopping list in one place.
- Keep recipes you cook. Save recipes from links, captions, pasted text and photos, and keep each one private or shared.
- Plan together. A Kitchen shares one calendar and one shopping list, and members suggest meals for the Head Chef to approve.
- Cook step by step. Cook mode shows one step at a time and runs timers. Planning a prep day? See meal prep with Chefless.
- Find something new. Follow other cooks and browse feeds. The culinary passport collects a stamp for each cuisine you cook, across 166 cuisines in 8 world regions.
- Eat the way your household eats. Filter recipes by diet tags such as Halal, Kosher, Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Low FODMAP and Keto (more on diet filters). Chefless does not certify any recipe.
Which languages does Chefless support?
Chefless works in English, Arabic, Spanish and Turkish, and Arabic reads right to left. Menus, messages and in-app help follow the language you choose in the app.
Is Chefless free, and does it show ads?
Chefless is free to download and shows no ads. A free account holds up to five recipes and a Kitchen of two members. Chefless Premium removes those limits for $5.99 a month or $34.99 a year in US dollars. Chefless does not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.
Chefless Premium also adds the AI Recipe Helper, Pantry and What You Can Cook, and a chef hat badge. You can cancel any time in your store subscription settings. The pricing page lists what each plan includes, and the privacy policy explains how data is handled.
